I
believe that investing in the equity markets is
a valuable part of any investment portfolio and
trading these markets can be a viable source of
additional income or an enjoyable, profitable
business. The trading opportunities are huge,
with something for any personality type, from
long term investing in shares to short term futures
and CFD trading. For me, the ability to direct
your own financial activities and control your
risk, is vital for anyone serious about their
future. The results of your investing or trading
will have a dramatic affect on your current lifestyle
and your future living standards. With this in
mind, I have developed a series of courses based
on my personal trading experience over the last
20+ years. The focus of our courses is on the
practical process of investing or trading without
all the hype and theory out there.
My
trading career started in 1979, when there was
very little practical trading information around.
I went to courses and studied every thing I could
about trading. It wasn't until I met a group of
successful traders in the mid 80's, who helped
me greatly, that my trading turned around. They
made me realise that most of the trading information
around had little to do with trading profitably.
It is my objective to help other traders by saving
them the years and huge expense I had to go through,
before I realised what was necessary to trade
successfully.
I
decided if I was going to develop a course, it
had to be a hands on, interactive course that
dealt with the real techniques used to profit
in the market, and not just a mass of technical
information. The purpose of our course is to expose
you to the trading opportunities available, and
to educate you in the art of trading.
We
are all different and have different risk tolerances,
ambitions and financial circumstances. Therefore
we have different investment requirements. By
having a selection of courses, we can cater for
the requirements of most investors or traders.
I

About
the program's developer
Kerry
Johnston has been trading since 1979. As well
as trading he has managed currency accounts, held
a securities dealers licence, was a full associate
member of the Sydney Futures Exchange and managed
a stock brokers office. Since 1985 he has studied
trading psychology and its effect on trader's
success. This experience is combined with a well
researched knowledge of trading to develop very
practical and informative trading sessions. We
have been conducting training since 1994.
Why
we conduct our trading courses
I
thought I would cover this point as it puzzled
me when I first started trading — why would
someone spent time teaching and not trading?
Trading
the markets short term is an insular occupation
and I found that I was becoming very unsociable.
In 1994 I started running trading courses to break
the isolation of trading and mix with like minded
people. Through referrals our courses have increased
to a point that they are an important and enjoyable
part of my career. By trading and teaching other
people how to trade, I have the best of both worlds.
I can trade which is what I like to do and the
courses allow me to travel and meet other like
minded traders.
